Support

Tabio is built and run by one person. There is no support team, but I read every message and reply when I can. Most answers you might need are below.

Common questions

I lost my passphrase. Can you recover my bookmarks?

No, and that is by design. Your bookmarks are encrypted on your device with a key derived from your passphrase, and that key never reaches the server. Nobody, including me, can decrypt your data without it. If your bookmarks are still in your browser you have lost nothing: use Reset bookmarks (in the extension under Settings → Account, or at tabio.pages.dev/account) to wipe the old encrypted data, set a new passphrase, and your browser's bookmarks become the new starting set on the next sync.

My trial ended and sync stopped. Is my data gone?

No. When a trial or subscription lapses, sync pauses but your encrypted data stays stored. Subscribe from the extension to pick up where you left off, or delete your data at any time from your account page.

I uninstalled the extension. How do I cancel or delete my account?

Sign in at tabio.pages.dev/account. You can cancel your subscription, delete your billing data, reset your bookmarks, or delete your account entirely, no extension required.

How do I get my bookmarks out of Tabio?

In the extension, open Settings → Export bookmarks. You get a standard HTML file that any browser can import. Your bookmarks also remain in your browser's own bookmark manager as normal.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers today, via the Chrome Web Store. Edge and Firefox store listings are coming soon.

Self-service

Everything about your account is self-service and immediate: manage billing, reset bookmarks, or delete your account from the extension (Settings → Account) or at tabio.pages.dev/account.
